Harvesting Wealth – The Riches of September

“Harvesting Wealth – The Riches of September”

Creating Wealth: Autumn Equinox and Harvest Moon in the Year of the Snake

Have you discovered a wealth of opportunities are available to you right now?
If not, maybe you haven’t taken full advantage of the energies that are occurring around you. Maybe you weren’t aware how things were going to be this year and haven’t placed yourself in an environment to reap the rewards awaiting you.

I have had the most incredible year in spite of it being the Year of the Snake since I learned I should be spending more time away from my home – literally traveling to other locations. This has been one of the best months for new things happening and coming into my life.

The year of the Snake is about transformation – personally and professionally. I have a business that transforms people’s lives through correct balance of their environments. When one thing isn’t right, all things are thrown out of balance.

During the Year of the Snake there are several areas within a home needing attention to deflect legal challenges and other unwanted issues. There are also areas to support specific projects and career choices. Balancing the areas with the correct elements or objects has made a huge shift in the effectiveness of the work I was already doing to promote my business.

In my MP3, “Year of the Snake – A Year of Transformation” I shared a wealth of information and tips to do around your home. The MP3 sold for $97 when I first created it at the beginning or the Chinese New year in February. Since there is only a little over 4 months left to take advantage of this energy, I’ve reduced the cost to $36. It’s not too late to take advantage of this energy. In the past I have had people do changes during the last month of the Chinese New Year and have fantastic results. So act quickly if you want to take advantage of this Snake year’s energy teleseminar MP3 for only $36.

Another energy we are experiencing right now is that of the harvest. We just celebrated the Chinese Harvest Moon Festival on September 19th. The full moon that occurs on the fifteen day of the eighth month of the Chinese calendar is called the Harvest Moon.

With fog and clouds coming in on Friday I wasn't sure I was going to get a photo of this year's Harvest Moon. Then, just as I was leaving a client's home in South San Francisco, the clouds "parted" and I took my best shot. The lights below are of San Francisco airport.

The Chinese are not the only ones who honor the Harvest Moon. Native cultures around the world and throughout the ages have been thankful for the added light given by the full moons around the Autumn Equinox. These full moons give them extra light, henceforth extra time, allowing them to gather the grains and other harvests after the sun has set. Even our modern-day farmers take advantage of the wealth of light brought to them by the Harvest Full Moon.

The Harvest Full Moon is the one closest to the Autumn Equinox. About two out of three years it comes before the equinox, therefore occurring during the month of September. The Hunters Full Moon is the one following the Harvest Full Moon, so it sometimes happens in October and sometimes in November.

The Autumn Equinox – occurring today, September 22 – is the time “when the Earth’s axis is inclined neither away from nor toward the Sun, the center of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth’s equator,” according to Wikipedia. This causes a balanced effect – a balance of night and day, of dark and light.

During this month we have the opportunity to create wealth in our lives through many natural phenomena – some we see and some we don’t. There’s the Harvest Moon (three nights ago), the Harvest Moon Festival and the Autumn Equinox. There’s also a harvesting of ideas and the harvests of the vineyards.

We see the huge Harvest Moon rising with its brilliant orange. Due to the angle of the Sun, Moon and Earth, this moon looks larger and more “gold” than any other I can remember. It does indeed look like the Charlie Brown pumpkin in the sky – a golden coin ready for us to pocket as a rich gift to our lives.

The Harvest Moon Festival brings the ritual and ceremonies honoring the wealth of the seasons. The Autumn Equinox gifts us balanced energy – the Yin and the Yang – to enrich our lives with balance.

During the summer we have been busy “doing” activities not normally part of our day. As we get back into our routines, ideas we have can be acted upon and harvested. Many of the activities we have been engaged in during the rest of the year seem to come together at this time. Just like my friends who have farms and vineyards, now is the time we gather our harvest – our wealth of balance, abundance and joy.

Sacred Spaces Sunday – Clearing Negative Energy from Your New Home – Part Two

Sacred Spaces Sunday – Clearing Negative Energy from Your New Home – Part Two

In this post I am going to share a three-part process for a total of nine steps to achieve a clean, neutral energy home. We want a neutral energy in order to have a “clean slate” on which to build our life’s desire.

Create an altar or Sacred Space anywhere in the home, especially in an area of love or the center of the house. Here on the client's piano where her daughter's practice is deemed a sacred space since the girls love to play and the parents love to listen and watch. We used the surface of the piano as a location to focus the loving energy in the home to bless it.

We used the surface of the piano as a location to focus the loving energy in the home to bless it.

The 3-part, 9-steps process to clean and bless a home (Do as many of them as you can in order):
Part One:
1) Physically clean the home thoroughly using natural cleaners like vinegar and baking soda when possible.
Part Two:
2) Bring in candles symbolizing the “light of a Higher Power” and light them.
3) Add some flowers placing them in as many of the rooms as possible.
4) Go through the home making loud noises like clapping your hands or beating a drum. Shake up and disturb the stuck energy in every corner of each room and the home.
5) Open the doors and windows to let the negative energy out and the fresh air in.
6) Walk through each room in a clockwise direction consciously “sweeping” the energy out of the house through the open doors and windows. Using your hands as the “broom” is the easiest and best way to do this. (It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it does have to be INTENTIONAL.)
7) Play some beautiful music – classical, light jazz, inspirational, chats, etc. – throughout the home.
Part Three:
8) Set up an altar or special area as the ritual “heart” of the home.
9) Ask for the “heart of the home” to come and reside in or near the center of the house.

I can’t tell you how many homes I have found that don’t have a “heart”. There is no love in these houses. I usually find the heart outside by the front door unless the home has experienced some really bad things. Then the heart might be at the edge of the property or even across the street. YOU can find it just by “calling it to come back and into the house.”

In my classes I talk about these steps and various rituals to make your homes “Healthy, High-vitality Homes with a Heart”. Sacred Spaces Sunday – Clearing Negative Energy from Your New Home – Part One

Sacred Spaces Sunday – Clearing Negative Energy from Your New Home – Part One

Moving into a new home is stressful enough without having to deal with any negative energy arising from the home itself and Feng Shui gives us several ways we can change negative energy into more life-affirming energy specifically directed toward supporting our desires in life.

The reason I bring this up is – I have several realtors who hire me to clear the negative energy from a home as part of their process to make sure the best energy resides in the home for the new occupants. I am going to be doing one of these “Home Blessings” in the next few days and realized some of you may be in need of, or want to do, this in your homes for a variety of reasons.

Clear Negative Energies by Creating a Sacred Space Altar with Flowers, Candles and Special Cloths

Before you bring anything into your new home, do a “Home Blessing”. This can be as simple as bringing in candles and flowers or more detailed in deep cleaning the physical space.

A deep cleaning might occur when the building energetically needs “shaking up and moving out” the old, stuck negative energy caused by a disgruntled, nasty, rude, bad or worse-than-that type person. Even homes where addicts, abuse and violent deaths have occurred can be cleared of this energy.

I know because I have done the work. I’ve even lived in some of those houses. I’ve turned these dwellings into beautiful, loving, healthy and prosperous homes for the occupants and myself.

Sacred Spaces Sunday – Caring for Our Body as Sacred Temple

Sacred Spaces Sunday – Our Body as Sacred Temple

Several of my Feng Shui Masters have opened my mind to the importance of my physical body; to take care of it through awareness of what I put into it (food, liquids, etc.), the activities I do with it, where I place it (buildings, locations within buildings, the cars I drive or planes in which I fly, etc.), the people around it, the clothing I put on it and many more areas of prominence where the energy interacts with, and affects, my energy.

This last week I had the opportunity to evaluate how well I’m doing in several of these arenas. I was even going to quote some Biblical comments about our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, but instead I will refer you to a blog I found that encompasses much more than I was going to write. It is by Carrie Fieharty and the blog address is: http://www.success.bz/articles/2526/sacred_body_body_as_your_temple

During the week while I was at a 3-day meeting I encountered several issues where choices occurred. The focus of these 3 days was on my business. Realizing in order for me – as an entrepreneur – to do the best I can in my business, I have to be the best I can, especially in caring for my body.

Here are some tips (in order of how they occurred for me during this last week) to care for our body, the sacred temple of the Soul:

1) Prepare for travel as much in advance as possible
2) Make a list of things needed to do before and items to take
3) Wear and bring natural material clothing (cotton, linen, silk, hemp)
4) Get packed early – find all items needed and put them together
5) Don’t plan anything the day before traveling to allow for the unexpected
6) Allow enough time for traveling by car, plane, etc. (especially when a bridge, like the San Francisco Bay Bridge, is closed)

7) Travel with friends when possible
8) Bring or purchase bottled water

9) Purchase fresh fruits close to the meeting location to enjoy instead of eating only restaurant or hotel food
10) Bring a plant or purchase one for your hotel room (you can always leave it for the housekeeper or give to another member of your conference who lives in the area)
11) Use essential oils or aromatherapy in your room
12) Get an allergy-free room if possible
13) Eat organic foods and meals prepared by chefs who love their craft of preparation – we want “good energy” put into the food we ingest
14) Bring and light tea candles in the evening while getting ready for bed
15) Limit alcohol and sugar consumption
16) Enjoy the company of new friends

19) Exercise or take a walk, especially if you have been sitting much of the day
20) Be patient – breathe deeply – all things happen in Divine Order
21) Look for the “gifts” and coincidences that happen during your trip
22) Get a massage, use the whirlpool, enjoy a spa treatment

In Feng Shui we realize the energy in and around us affects everything we think, say, do and become. Being with like-minded people, in beautiful places with elegant craftsmanship, treated with excellent customer service in a hotel, having views of water and commerce, in an area of higher-consciousness or abundance mentality and focused on how to achieve our dreams is a perfect way to support the Sacred Space we call our body.
